Mt. Matutum the Best Trek Ever
This volcano rises and dominates the landscape of the South Cotabato, Philippines.The irregular shape of this volcano rises and so mesmerizing that could invite viewers from afar to climb.Mt. This volcano was located at the province of South Cotabato at the island of Mindanao, Philipiines. It is 15 km. north of the Municipality of Polomolok. It has a base of 25 km. and the 14th highest peak of the Philippines.It was the favorite trekking destination in the province that has well preserved summit and a vegetated crater.
The famous Philippine eagle and the small Tarsier could also be seen in the forested area of the mountain.
The Mt. Matutum name came from the words "Amyak Maleh" which means climb and plant of the indigenous Blaa'n trbe that resides around the mountain.
